Lightweight Joe Elfidh is looking forward to fight number 2 on the Fight Academy bill on March 22nd.

Joe made his pro debut over Manchester's unbeaten southpaw Darren Askew.

"I was way over anxious in that fight. I was swinging like mad and once I knocked him over I was desperate to stop him" In the end joe had to settle for a well earned 60-54 pts victory.

 "It was good making my debut over in Hellaby as I'm from Epworth which is just down the road. I just felt sorry for some of my fans because I could have sold probably 3 times the amount of tickets that I got"

"Don Valley is a much bigger open show so I know all of my family and friends will be able to get in this time!"
 
Joe is currently back in the army and is at a camp in the south of England, where he works along side members of the world famous Ghurkha regiment.

"Those guys are so tough and professional that you are constantly trying to keep up. I do all of my runs with them and it's definately making me fitter, they never seem to get tired!!"
